Implement K-pop Genre
OnDemandKorea has the largest Korean content library in North America. The company partnered with one of the entertainment companies in Korea, ROEN entertainment which owns the ‘1theK’ Youtube channel with more than 24 million subscribers. The channel streams K-Pop artists’ music videos, teasers, live performances, interviews, and exclusive originals.

K-Pop has become a true phenomenon and spread its influence outside Korea worldwide. The K-Pop market size is much bigger than Korean content and the company expects to increase view hours by bringing K-Pop content to OnDemandKorea.

Increase the number of users twice by reaching out to new target audience groups.
Our primary target group is females between the ages of 16 and 30. We also should find exclusive features that are only available on our platform.
Based on the focus group interview, users are primarily interested in content that their favorite K-pop artists starred in.
According to the survey, the way users know about K-variety is related to K-pop and vice versa, meaning these contents have the power to drive consumption from each other.
A mix of new K-pop and the current ODK variety and drama content.
OnDemandKorea has a wide variety of content that K-pop artists starred in. By mixing K-pop, variety, and drama of genres, we will make a powerful synergy that brings a new target audience.
Build a platform that strongly drives consumption from variety to K-pop and vice versa to amplify the synergy.
The K-pop genre will have its own home and dedicated artist's page to grab users' attention and provide easy content exploration.
